PAYMENT - FAQs

1. Why was I charged an international fee for my order?

Some customers may experience an international transaction fee on their orders. Custigift uses an American payment processor, Stripe, to serve our global customers. Stripe processes various types of payments, but depending on your bank, international fees may apply.

The international fee is charged by your bank when purchases are processed outside your country. We recommend contacting your bank for further clarification.

2. Why is my card being declined?

There are several common reasons your card might be declined. If your card payment is declined, please check the following:

  • Make sure the card is activated if it’s new or recently reissued.
  • Review your card information to ensure accuracy (CVV, card number).
  • Check the expiration date on the card.
  • Ensure you are not over your credit limit or that the transaction will not push you over it.
  • Suspected fraud: Large or unusual transactions may trigger a fraud alert. Try verifying the purchase with an OTP code or contact your bank.
  • Your account was closed: Contact your bank or add a new card.
  • Technical error: Please retry the process later.

If everything seems correct, contact your card issuer using the customer service number on the back of your card. Alternatively, you can check out via PayPal.

3. Why am I being double-charged?

If you believe you've been charged twice for the same order, first check the confirmation email.

  • If you receive multiple confirmation emails with different order numbers, it means multiple orders were placed. Review the order information carefully and cancel any orders you do not want. You can cancel here: https://custigift.com/pages/modify-or-cancel-order.
  • If you receive only one confirmation email, don’t worry. For some payment methods, we use an authorization hold to verify that the funds are available in your account. This hold is temporary, and your account will not be charged twice. Contact your bank or us for further details. The hold should be removed within one to eight business days.

4. Do I need to pay import fees, duties, and taxes?

Customs policies differ by country. Some countries may not charge import fees, while others do. Tax is not included in the price listed on our website, which means you may be responsible for paying duties and taxes upon receiving your order. Import taxes, duties, and customs fees are determined by your local customs office once your order reaches its destination.
